‘The best Christmas present ever’ — Rosanna’s family to meet ‘little dote’ Sophia for first time

Twitter

Email Rosanna Davison has said this Christmas is «the most special one yet for us» as she enjoys being a new mum. The former Miss World (35) welcomed baby Sophia by gestational surrogacy last month after what had been a long journey for her and husband Wes Quirke.

Their surrogate gave birth to their baby in Kiev, Ukraine, on November 22 and they brought her home to Ireland two weeks later after securing a passport for her.

Rosanna said it has been a dream come true for her and Wes, and they have been busy getting to grips with first-time parenthood at their south Dublin home.

«I’m loving it all. I’ve barely left the house and just want to be with her all the time,» Rosanna said.

«I absolutely love being her mum. I have no idea what’s happening in the outside world.»

She said they will be spending Christmas Day in her family home in Enniskerry with her mum Diana, dad Chris de Burgh and brothers Hubie and Michael.

Her father put the 12-bedroom, property on the market for €12.5m earlier this year.

«I’ll be having a cosy, quiet Christmas at the family home in Wicklow and it’s going to be the most special one yet,» Rosanna said.

«My brothers both live in London and haven’t had a chance to meet her yet, so I can’t wait to introduce them in the next few days.

«We’ll also be bringing Sophia down to Wexford to meet her 93-year-old great-grandmother for the first time, so that’s going to be a special day.

«I’m just looking forward to her first Christmas and to watching her family get to know her and fall in love with her.

«She’s a little dote and we just feel incredibly lucky to have the best Christmas present ever.

»

It will be back to work for Rosanna shortly when she presides over the Winter Ladies Day fashion event at Naas racecourse on Sunday, January 5.

Rosanna will be choosing a winner of the Best Dressed Competition as she puts attendees through their paces.
